From abstractionism to something new. Sofia’s artistic journey began in Tomsk, where she took her first steps towards abstraction in the workshop of P.P. Gavrilenko. Unfortunately, her paintings from that period have not survived. Over time, as often happens with creative people, Sofia outgrew the boundaries of her genre and mastered fluid art – drawing with liquid acrylic paint without the use of brushes. Nowadays, she works in a new technique she calls ultra-neoplasticism, building on the ideas of neoplasticism.
